About your coach
Hi, I'm your coach, Owen.

Your mind is a supercomputer and I'm going to help you understand how to get the best out of it.

I was the class clown, the "can do good work when he concentrates" kid. A consistent underachiever despite a good level of intelligence. School, college and subsequent jobs, just weren't interesting enough for long enough and I'd soon become bored and look to something else, which resulted in a very varied and somewhat unusual job history, that has involved everything from bar and retail work, to boat building and aircraft engineering.
I have spent several years as part of a coaching team while working for the Ministry of Defence. I started to specialise in neurodivergence in 2018 following my own AuDHD diagnosis, and over the years have developed a down-to-earth approach to helping clients navigate their own neurodivergence.
Using my own relatable experiences and understanding of a neurotypical world, I can help you navigate many of the barriers you may experience as a neurodivergent person, and help you unlock your valuable uniqueness to improve your personal and professional experiences.

Understanding Neurodiversity: A beginners guide.
Learn what neurodiversity is and discover how embracing neurological differences can foster understanding, acceptance, and support for individuals with autism, ADHD, and more.
Introduction:
In today’s diverse world, understanding neurodiversity is key to fostering acceptance and supporting individuals with unique neurological profiles. Whether you’re a parent, educator, employer, or someone exploring your own neurodiverse identity, gaining clarity about neurodiversity can be empowering.
What Is Neurodiversity?
Neurodiversity is the concept that neurological differences—such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and others—are natural variations of the human brain. Instead of viewing these differences as deficits, neurodiversity celebrates the unique strengths and perspectives individuals bring.
Common Neurodiverse Conditions:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder: Characterised by differences in social communication and sensory processing.
- ADHD: Marked by inattentiveness, hyperactivity, and impulsivity.
- Dyslexia: Difficulties with reading and language processing.
- Sensory Processing Disorder: Challenges in handling sensory input from the environment.
The Strengths of Neurodiverse Individuals:
Many neurodiverse individuals exhibit incredible creativity, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and innovative thinking. Recognising these strengths can open doors for support, professional growth, and personal development.
Why Embrace Neurodiversity?
Creating an inclusive environment benefits everyone—fostering understanding, reducing stigma, and enabling neurodiverse individuals to thrive. Whether at home, school, or work, embracing neurodiversity promotes kindness and respect.
How Can Coaching Support Neurodiverse Individuals?
Neurodiversity coaching provides tailored strategies to navigate challenges, harness strengths, and achieve personal goals. It empowers individuals to communicate effectively, manage sensory overload, and build confidence.
